The beginning of this session will be dedicated to enjoying cacao while setting intentions and practicing mindfulness together.

In this special session, we will explore the idea of service and community through handbuilt ceramics while learning how to create your own 8–10 inch pitcher or jug using traditional coil techniques.

As we work with the clay, we will focus on symmetry and intentional pressure while sipping warm cacao together. This workshop invites you to slow down, connect with your body, and share in a creative, supportive environment with others.

All materials are included with registration. No pottery experience is necessary.

Glazing: If you're not a member with us, our wonderful team will glaze your piece in a food-safe color of your choice

Pickup: Finished pottery will be ready in 4–6 weeks

THE ART OF MODERN KINTSUGI — With Kat

Sunday, June 14th⋅1:00pm – 3:00pm

$150 Members - $165 Non-Members

Max # of students 8

This beginner-friendly Modern Kintsugi workshop introduces the art of repairing broken ceramics using accessible materials like super glue, epoxy putty, cashew-based lacquer, and brass powder for a soft golden finish. Unlike traditional Urushi Kintsugi, which requires multiple sessions and specialized curing. This modern approach is completed in a single 2 hour and 45 minute session.

Participants will be guided through a slow, intentional process that includes an introduction to Kintsugi, reflecting on broken pieces, mending and gilding fractures, and sharing the experience as a group.

All tools, materials, and a ceramic piece are provided, and participants are welcome to bring their own broken item if desired.

An optional take-home Kintsugi kit is available for $80, enough to repair approximately 10 small pieces.
